All That Music

Whatever else is on in Bolzano, Friday night is jazz night!

At the Laurin, All that Music means all that jazz – plus blue notes from soul, swing, blues and chansons. For more than 30 years, the Laurin Bar has hosted concerts every Friday from October to May. The programme is compiled by two of South Tyrol’s best-known jazz musicians: Michl Lösch and Helga Plankensteiner, who present a unique line-up of international jazz greats and regional projects. The musicians are so close, you’ll think they were playing in your living room. They play on carpets with a stave design created specially for the Laurin Bar. Look closely – could there be six lines instead of the usual five?

Live Piano Music

The perfect accompaniment for your drinks

On Saturday night you’re welcome to play the piano yourself in the Laurin Bar If you’d rather not, we have several good pianists who will gladly ease you into the evening with Live Piano Music.
We’re very fussy about who plays here. South Tyrol jazz greats Helga Plankensteiner and Michl Lösch compile the programme on our behalf, so quality is always assured.

The Park Restaurant

Come on out – the weather’s fine
What’s the point of a park in bloom if no-one can see it? At the Laurin, we open white sun sails and serve light dishes with a Mediterranean flair. Isn’t that what summer is for?

Swimming outdoors

ALWAYS A PLEASURE, EVEN IN WINTER.
A park becomes even more magical when you can fully enjoy it in every season. The pleasure of swimming doesn’t stop, even when the cooler months arrive. Surrounded by nature that changes its colors and transforms with every season, you can immerse yourself in the relaxation of a swim or the soothing warmth of the whirlpool. Thanks to the water heated to a perfect 26°C, available throughout the winter, it’s an experience that combines timeless comfort and beauty.

Elephants in Bozen

Art in the Laurin Park
Owner Franz Staffler has an eclectic approach to art. As a patron and collector, he buys what he likes. Among other things, a stroll round the park reveals a huge bronze head, a single rubber hand, a red steel loop and several elephants. If you want to unwind, just count the elephants.

Sauna in the garden

AN OASIS OF PEACE IN THE GREENERY
Enjoy the new Finnish sauna in the garden, open daily and year-round from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Summer Lounge

An aperitif outdoors
The Laurin Park is in love with life. In summer, we move the Bar outdoors.
When evening comes, the locals feel like they’re on holiday too. Come and immerse yourself in the latest talk of the town – or drop by Aperitivo Lungo on Thursdays for chillout music with a selection of DJs.

Green towers

The trees of the Laurin Park
On 4,000 square metres, plants from all over the world have congregated here for 150 years. Giant redwoods, Himalayan cedars, Himalayan pines and yew trees tower above bowwood, cherry laurel, ginkgo and wintersweet. On one tree, the most exuberant rose in the Alps ascends to lofty heights. How far will it go?
