When the temperatures become mild and tempt us to go outside, we arm ourselves with plates and cutlery and move the restaurant to the park. Sure, our waiters have to go the extra mile, but exercise is good for your health, just like the light summer dishes. And that taste of the sea. It's much cooler under the centuries-old trees in the park than in the narrow streets of the old town, and at the same time you're protected from the vagaries of the season: The park restaurant is heated and covered. Speaking of plants: Look out for the Lebanon cedar, on which a giant Merano rose has been enthroned for many years. With its 28 metres of leaves and branches, it is by far the tallest in the Alps.
