Special exhibition in 2011: 20 years from Ötzi’s discovery

The exhibition Ötzi20 will focus on the Iceman and on his impact on scholars and museum’s visitors alike. To mark the occasion the museum space will be totally transformed: on an area of 1,200 sqm, it will display the results of the most recent scientific studies, the often extravagant theories of the media on Ötzi's life and death, together with gadgets, curiosities and many lesser known aspects surrounding this sensational find.
