Music plays an important role in Laurin’s cultural life. Each Friday at 9.30pm the elegant ambience of the Laurin Bar is given over to "All that Music...!" Performers include top international artists as well as Italian and local musicians.

The guitarist Randy Johnson, hailing from Detroit, worked together with the saxophonist Huston Person and the singer Etta Jones, with Lionel Hampton, Jack McDuff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joey Defrancesco and Johnny Griffin. He is a constant member of the Lou Donaldson’s quartet, whereas, his Italian quartet is formed also by the Peruvian trombonist Umberto Amesquita.

Leroy Emmanuel is one of the most acclaimed guitarists of the American funk-soul.
He was born and grown up with the best tradition of the black-music. When he arrived in Detroit, he collaborated in the recording room with Marvin Gaye, Ike e Tina Turner, John Lee Hooker, Dionne Warwick, James Brown, George Clinton, Temptations and other important artists.
